Proud hubby

The Socialist is out at a lesbian book club, I'm so proud of her for stepping WAY outside of her comfort zone and reaching out to form a new social group. Not to mention I love the chance to spend time with little Smye one on one.

Anyone have any suggestions for forming new social groups for me? I've realized that I've got no social group of my own, just a few isolated friends ends here and there, but I'm eager to join/create a social group.

  1. Hope you're doing well Smye. I have to say I really do admire you for being so supportive to your wife. When I was younger I had a serious relationship with a man who was not ready to acknowledge he was gay. So hard to go from thinking someone is in love with you to suddenly be told umm sorry I'm actually not even into your gender.
You seem like a pretty outgoing guy Smye, and you're in Washington State right? What about getting involved with a conservation group, or even just join a group of outdoor enthusiasts, to go walking or hiking? Winter is coming, so that might be difficult until Spring. A cooking class? If there isn't one in your area you could start one. One geared for bariatric patients, and also those who are trying to eat better . I can tell from your website you are a real foodie. I love your recipes and I am sure other WLS patients would love to participate in a cooking class where the food is designed for them. I would definitely go to a class like that. How about a book club of your own? The non-lesbian kind of course ;)
